It is situated on the river V\u00e1h in the western part of Slovakia and next to the border with Czech republic. The distance between Tren\u010d\u00edn and the capital city of Slovakia \u2013 Bratislava is 120 kilometres. Thanks to its strategically advantageous position the Castle of Tren\u010d\u00edn was built. At present i tis also the important centre of business, industry, culture and sport. Many companies and organisations decided to reside in this beautiful place. The city is famous for decades for its exhibiotions and trade show as well as the city of fashion. Tren\u010d\u00edn is the natural geographic centre of midlle are called Pova\u017eie.
